Purchasing Lamb

Whole Lamb | ~40 lbs

A whole lamb with an approximate hanging carcass weight of 40 lbs. will yield about 25 pounds of meat. The costs to the customer is as follows: 40 lbs @ $6.50lbs = $260 plus processing.

Half Lamb | ~20 lbs

A half lamb with an approximate hanging carcass weight of 20 lbs. will yield about 12 pounds of meat. The costs to the customer is as follows: 20 lbs @ $6.50lbs = $130 plus processing.

Processing

Costs

Processing costs for a whole are generally $90+GST and for a half are $45+GST. If you prefer to do your own cutting, a Kill & Chill will generally cost $60+GST.

Cutting Instructions

You place your order with us. We will contact you to let you know when your animal has been delivered to Forestburg Quality Meats for processing. You will call Lynn at Forestburg Quality Meats at 780-582-6328 or email at formeat@telus.net and give her your cutting instructions. At this time you can ask Lynn any questions you may have. A sample cutting sheet can be found below.

We deliver to locations near Camrose, Bashaw and the Edmonton Metropolitan area and will make arrangements to meet you.
